Gov. Healey + Lt. Governor Driscoll to speak at Mass Municipal Association’s Annual Meeting, Jan 20-21

BOSTON – Newly elected Gov. Maura Healey and Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll will be addressing local officials at the Massachusetts Municipal Association’s 44th Annual Meeting & Trade Show, which will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on Jan. 20 and 21, 2023. More than 1,200 municipal officials from across Massachusetts have registered to attend the two-day event.

Gov. Healey will speak at the opening session on Friday, Jan. 20, 9:40 to 9:50 a.m. in Ballroom AB. She will discuss her administration’s efforts to support communities, provide critical infrastructure funds, and expand economic opportunity for all residents.

Lt. Governor Driscoll will speak at the MMA Annual Business Meeting, which begins at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Ballroom A. She will discuss her priorities around addressing the housing crisis. The Lt. Governor will be joined by U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (pre-recorded) and Edward Markey, who will also make remarks.

At the Business Meeting, MMA members will deliberate a policy resolution on state-local fiscal partnership and will induct the incoming MMA president, vice president and Board of Directors for 2023.

Central features of the MMA Annual Meeting are keynote speakers and a wide selection of workshops on timely topics for local officials. The annual Trade Show features more than 200 exhibitors offering products and services to benefit cities and towns. Meeting attendees include mayors, town managers, selectmen, councillors, finance committee members, human resources professionals and other local government leaders.
