The annual sales tax-free weekend in Massachusetts takes place this weekend, August 14-15, 2021. Retail items of up to $2,500, purchased in Massachusetts for personal use on these two days, will be exempt from sales tax.

In 2018, Governor Baker signed legislation that makes the annual sales tax holiday an annual occurrence, making this the third sales tax holiday held under the new law.
The Department of Revenue is designating August 14-15, 2021 as the sales tax holiday under M.G.L. Chapter 64H, Section 6A.
