A distinctive, wide-ranging collection of art, sculpture and crafts is readily available to visitors and residents in Massachusetts, thanks to the new Masterpiece Trail unveiled this week by Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT).

The curated Masterpiece Trail ranges from world-renowned works to hidden gems, all of them housed in 24 art galleries and museums throughout the Bay State.

MOTT Executive Director Francois Nivaud said the Trail enables visitors to “continue their journey to other museums and see an unparalleled collection of artwork from world-renowned artists – housed right here in Massachusetts.”

The release of the Masterpiece Trail coincides with ArtWeek MA, taking place from April 27-May 6.

Some of the highlights include:

. Sculptor Daniel French’s plaster model of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.

. Folk Artist Erastus Salisbury Field’s “Historical Monument of the American Republic”

. Painter Norman Rockwell’s iconic masterpiece, “Home for Christmas”

. Painter John Singer Sargent’s “Fumee D’ Ambre Gris”

. Mexican Artist Frida Kahlo’s “Dos Mujeres”
