The Massachusetts Internship Collaborative is a public, private and academic partnership committed to bolstering the next generation of Massachusetts entrepreneurs by connecting the Commonwealth’s employers with new talent by increasing internship opportunities and providing internship guidance to both students and business leaders.
The importance of internships as a building block of the Massachusetts workforce is undeniable, and contributes greatly to student retention, economic growth and the continued development of a skilled workforce. By highlighting existing internship opportunities and fostering the growth of new ones, the MIC will augment a valuable enterprise for the Commonwealth.
Dedicated to fostering relationships between young, innovative talent and local businesses, MIC is a statewide community powered by collaboration between employers, internship programs, academic institutions, and mentors. MIC serves as a connector between these constituencies, as well as the platform through which these resources are accessed.
Launched in 2010 as a key initiative of the “Massachusetts: It’s All Here” campaign, the Massachusetts Internship Collaborative is committed to helping retain the state’s innovative, entrepreneurial and highly skilled workforce through the vehicle of internships.
