1. CLEAN ENERGY
America's first offshore wind farm will be built in the Nantucket
Sound, just offshore from the Massachusetts coast. This undertaking will
create hundreds of jobs, increase energy independence and contribute
greatly to a healthier environment. Cape Wind is just one of the many

In Massachusetts, strides in the life sciences sector are made every
day. Gateway Park in Worcester is home to dozens of life sciences

3. HEALTH IT
Innovation in Health Information Technology is constantly developing
in Massachusetts, furthered by Governor Deval Patrick's HIT Conference
in April 2010. At the conference, federal and state leaders discussed

The Cambridge Innovation Center is one of the world's largest
business incubators, housing approximately 175 companies and offering
award winning facilities and state-of-the-art technology and business
services. The Boston Globe said, "If technology and innovation are the

Massachusetts has the highest venture capital investment per capita
of any place in the world, and one fifth of the venture capital in the

The University of Massachusetts is aware that the future of our
