MASSACHUSETTS SPORTS OFFICE ISSUES 2018 CALENDAR OF ATHLETIC COMPETITIONS

Massachusetts, known as the State of Champions for its longstanding athletic traditions and high-level competition, has issued its annual round-up of popular sporting events throughout the Bay State in 2018. Compiled by Massachusetts Sports Marketing Office (MSMO) and Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT), the events range from collegiate and amateur tournaments to professional match-ups and iconic annual events.

The sports calendar kicks off this Thursday with the 2018 Spalding Hoophall Classic at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. The tournament runs from January 11-15 and features some of the nation’s best high school basketball players.

A number of iconic sporting events are on the schedule, including the Beanpot Hockey Tournament; Boston Red Sox Opening Day at Fenway Park; the Boston Marathon; Falmouth Road Race, Head of the Charles Regatta and the Harvard-Yale football game. Plus, NCAA collegiate games are taking place in basketball, hockey and lacrosse.

Spalding Hoop Hall Classic

Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement
