Massport continues to expand its international air routes as Primera Air announced three new direct flights to Paris (CDG), London (STN) and Birmingham (BHX) flying to and from Boston Logan International Airport starting in May 2018.
Primera Air President & Chairman Andri M. Ingolfsson said that with the new Airbus 321 NEO airplane, “we are opening routes previously traditionally served only by wide-body aircrafts.”
Massport CEO Thomas P. Glynn said that Massport “continues to focus on providing more options to our customers as more and more travelers choose Boston Logan International Airport to connect to the globe. We are pleased to welcome Primera Air as our newest carrier.”
Over 36.2 million passengers travelers through Logan Airport in 2016, including 6.6 million international passengers. Logan currently has non-stop international service to 54 destinations.
Primera’s year-round service begins in May 2018, offering four weekly roundtrip flights to London (STN) and Birmingham (BHX) and three weekly roundtrip flights to Paris (CDG) from Boston Logan. Ticket for these new destinations went on sale July 20, 2017 for as little as $99 one way, taxes included.
The aircraft provides two classes of cabin – full-service Premium and low-fare Economy, Wi-Fi and access for all passengers to charge their devices on board.
